DDW Creating a Wedding Event

One feature of the wedding template is that agents can create a page for the customers wedding event. Customers can share the link with family and friends who can contact the travel agent if they want to go to the event. The created page can be password protected if the customer desires it to stay private.

Agents need to be logged in if they want access to create or edit a wedding event. By default they will see a link "Add Wedding" at the top menu and after clicking, they will see a page with a form to create a new event with four sections: General Information, Destination Information, Prices and Photo.

1- General Information

Form Section

Add the Couple's information:

Names Ex:"Bethany & Derek", Contact Info: "Email" & "Phone Number". Add a short description introducing the event Ex: "Next summer we are going to celebrate our sunny wedding at a lovely resort in Riviera, Nayarit Mexico... please join us....."

2- Destination Information

Form Section

Add the information about Where and When the event will take place. Inside the description give more details about the resort and activities, resort amenities and any other information relevant to the guests stay.

3- Pricing

Form Section

Pricing is very important, such as deposit, deposit deadline, what is included, what is not included, and any additional price information plus Insurance if available.

4- Primary Photo

Form Section

Even-though we can upload more than one photo later, when creating the event the first image we suggest to upload would be a beautiful photo of the couple in a horizontal dimension.

The last step has two actions:

  1. Check the make public box as soon as you click "Create Event" (feel free to keep unchecked if you want to make sure first the information is correct before going live).
  2. The other action is to add a password if you wish to make the wedding event private. If you don't add the password, it will be a public event.

As soon as you click on "Create & Edit" button, you will be redirected to the edit page where you will be able to check all the info in your event. Note: if you keep the "Make this page public" checked, the event will immediately be visible under "weddings" page.

The edit form is very similar to create form and has the option to add more images.
