Editing Footer | OnlineXpress

Now, for the three OnlineXpress templates you can add custom content to the footer section on any of the three columns and here we will show you how to do it:

Before you start, remember we have other custom options for edit the footer section:

  1. Add a new footer link.
  2. Add the TICO ID number, find the setting.
  3. Add Footer Social Links under the third column.
  4. Add multiples offices address (will also show under contact form page).

Even-though we have the few options above sometimes we want to create a very custom footer. You will have the option to add more content to any of the three columns or replace the complete footer code.

Note: Only for admins. You will need a basic HTML knowledge

Additional content to a column

Let's use the following example to see how works: You want to add a custom paragraph under the first column "We are the best travel agency around the world. Don't miss the opportunity to get the best travel experience of your life".

1- From admin, go to the design page:

Select Design

2- The "Design" page https://app.travelagencytribes.com/admin/page is where all templates pages are, but no worries, you will not need to delete or edit any of them. The next step is create a new page clicking on the "New Page" button at the right side. The following form will show:

Create Partial Page

For the current tutorial you must select "Partial" as a page type and be sure to change the "URL" to "_footer_firstcolumn" or "_footer_secondcolumn" or "_footer_thirdcolumn", everything depend on what column you will like to add the new content, please check the footer screenshot above. The page name can be any name, but we suggest you to adding a title that can be easy to identify like "Partial Footer First Column" or "Footer First Column".

After filling the form just click on "Create".

3- Next step is updating the new page. First, search for the page and click on the title to edit it, a whole edit form will show with all editable fields: [A] Title, [B] Body Content, [C] URL, [D] Meta Title, Meta Description & Meta Keywords, [E] Layout.

A- The Partial Page “Title” is already there, you can change it or edit it at any time. Keep it easy to find and remember.

Page Title Field

B- Body Content: is a plain text editor to add your HTML code inside ex: <p>My paragraph here....</p>

Body Content

C- URL: Remember, you must use one of the following URLs "_footer_firstcolumn" or "_footer_secondcolumn" or "_footer_thirdcolumn", everything depend on what column you will like to add the new content, check the video.

Partial URL

D- Meta Title, Meta Description & Meta Keywords: please keep all the three empty, partials pages are pieces of content inside a page, all that params will not work for a partial.

Meta Fields

E- Layout: Partials also do not need a layout, for the same reason they are just independent piece of content. Select the option: "No layout".

Choose Layout

After you are done, just click on "Save" button.

4- Last step is test the website and is Very Important, we always must check our changes are correct and everything is in the correct place.

Happy Editing!
